I found it very strange to find out that mutt sometimes doesn't update the
timestamp of a mailbox file. Here's an example:
hamster:~>l testmailbox
-rw------- 1 spiegl users 26537 Feb 20 20:57 testmailbox
hamster:~>grep ^Status: testmailbox
zsh: 3666 exit 1 grep -i ^Status testmailbox
hamster:~>mutt -f testmailbox
4 kept, 0 deleted.
hamster:~>grep ^Status: testmailbox
Status: RO
Status: RO
Status: O
Status: O
hamster:~>l testmailbox
-rw------- 1 spiegl users 26579 Feb 20 20:57 testmailbox
hamster:~>mutt -f testmailbox
2 kept, 2 deleted.
hamster:~>l testmailbox
-rw------- 1 spiegl users 18153 Feb 20 20:57 testmailbox
Is there a specific reason for this behaviour? Or could it be a
configuration error? But I tried it with "-F /dev/null" and same result.
I filed a bug report a month ago but haven't heard anything since.
