Really, it should be *their* problem.
Netscape v4.76 supports the function "Wrap incoming plain text
messages to window width", however, users in Netscape are not
allowed to select a numeric value for this option.
They need to stretch their message interface window wider to have
a larger apeture for characters on incoming messages. On a
terminal where the resolution was set at 1024x768 with a netscape
message window set to "maximize", they should be able to see a
text line up to 142 characters on a single line...
On the flip side, Netscape has an option to control outgoing text
wrapping at a numeric value. In Netscape v4.76, the setting is
located in the same place as the former option discussed, and it's
labeled "Wrap outgoing plain text characters at [X] characters"
Sorry to ramble on about Netscape. Getting to the meat of the Mutt
formatting side of it, in Mutt I'm not sure if there is a formatting
option to set the wrap-limit on outgoing messages. There is no
reference to this option in the Mutt manual found at
http://www.mutt.org/ as of v1.2.5.
If you are using VIM (vi) as your editor for Mutt (or PICO) there is a
good chance that there is an option to control word wrapping in the
editor itself. I'd start there for an answer.

i really love mutt, but fellow netscape users complain that my line
length is too long. How can I make it so it wraps after 72
characters?
Thanks, Ethan
