That's the real problem, the header should be MUA-generated anyway.
But even MFT doesn't really address the problem of having announcement
lists where discussion should be directed elsewhere, for that the list
software should look at the MFT header and if it contains the
announcement list address, change that to the discussion list, and then
leave rest of it alone. This can't really be done at the client end,
because the client MUA (and even user) may not know that discussion
should be redirected to another list.

But you don't need to fix it for other users -- you only need to fix it
for yourself. You're the only one who's replying to your own message,
aren't you? For others, the Reply-To should take care of things. Or,
if they're Mutt users, the MFT header, which you should provide in any
case...
