The problem is that this doesn't seem to work with MH-style mailboxes.
Mutt always shows that there's new mail in every mailbox. If I could
get a reliable signal that a mailbox had new mail, I'd be (sort of)
happy.
Does mutt DTRT with Maildir mailboxes? I'm not too familiar with the
format, but from what I know it has a separate directory for new mail,
which would make it very easy to put a new-message counter in the
browser, and would at least make the boolean new-messages flag easier
to get right. I don't think mailagent has direct support for maildir
boxes, but if it just means dumping new messages into $box/new then it
shouldn't be too hard.
