Apparently you're already doing that, so won't comment on it (except to
say it's a good idea to omit the enter at the end, like was suggested,
so you can fill the end in with whatever you like).

Not necessarily a GUI, but an index listing. :-)

If you're not aware, the developement version (1.1.1 currently) of Mutt
has something called IMAP folder browsing.  I don't use IMAP so I have
no first hand experience with this, but it sounds a bit like what you're
looking for.  You may wish to give it a try, with the caveat that it IS
the developement version, with all the possible problems that brings.
(Or not, I've not heard people complain much about it.)
