The patch needs some code consistency changes, and I would put the
accalw_okay check before the expiration check and certificate file scan,
but otherwise it looks okay.
I'll have to think about whether the duplicate checking is still needed.
My first idea for the ticket was this exact approach, but for some reason
I convinced myself it wasn't that simple.
