Well now we have a good example.  You have posted two versions of
several of eight patches.

If you had a public repo, all we'd have to do is pull, compile, test.
The easier it is for we developers, the more likely we are to try.

Now, we have to save all the *new* patches, making sure we don't mix
them up with the old ones; put them in right order and apply them;
compile and test.

If hg doesn't let you delete things, how about creating a clone on
bitbucket?  Fill it with all the wild, crazy, dangerous ideas.
