Yeah but that's you... Others do. This is a feature that's been
requested several times, and it's one I myself would love to have
though I've never said so--as I'm sure many other users who would like
it never have said so.

Well then go read the archives where the specifics have been
delineated, as I have already told you three times now, instead of
nagging me to waste my time by repeating them for the tenth time.

- Had a working patch 4 years ago.
- Dev apparently didn't like the patch, wrote his own without a
single word of comment on the original patch until he submitted his
own
- *dev got it wrong* -- did not address the issue at all.
- A new patch was supplied that worked more like what the dev had in
mind, and it has sat in that state ever since, untouched,
uncommented on.
- The person who actually submitted the bug has commit privs (now).
There have been lots of cases like this over the years, causing many
people who were interested in contributing to start threads like this
one, or to just simply walk away disgusted. And this was a small
bug/patch! Imagine if someone wanted to submit a large feature...
