Because buttons and menubuttons skin differently, at least in Classic, 
unless you change the dul menubuttons to Netscape 4.5 style...

I'm not sure what you mean here. I'm not going to change any of the 
buttons, just add the menus.

The buttons will be as they are currently in Mozilla. The news menu 
items will be the same for all options, Reply giving you the choice of 
sender or group, Reply all will give you the choice of sender and group, 
or all recipients.
