You have to understand, android is flawed, too. What you get with this product is a lot of headache removal from learning java and it's f*cked up ways.
I'm trying not to blame anyone. Android is there and we have to live with that. MT and MA are here and have some flaws, but it is doable and if we all keep on working and sharing I am pretty sure
Xamarin's platforms are good/safe bet.

I can (not so efficiently) work with java, but am beeter with .net. That's the reason for my choice, but it
is personal.

What I did not understand is "sitting on my mouth"... It felt like I'm hiding some info...
And who_the_fake am i??

cheers

    Hi mel

Well.. aren't we all paying customers that Xamarin needs to listen to?
Sitting on your mouth if you think something is wrong with the
    product you
    purchased seems wrong to me.

Your tips about additional exception handlers helped somewhat...
    now I can
catch them and the final straw seems to be in the TPF where I get an
unobserved task exception. Do you know how you can catch those?
    I've already
set up the TaskScheduler.UnobservedTaskException eventhandler, but it
    doesn't fire.

So you're using RestSharp as well? What's your experience? I've
    had to pick
something that could handle me WFC endpoint and doesn't force me
    to GPL the
entire commercial project. I initially considered ServiceStack for the
server side, too, but since the solution has 3 pre-existing
    services, all
WCF based, it seemed the most straightforward to use WCF for rest,
    too.
