What I see, nothing literally nothing is perfect, especially complex
products like MA and MT.
All I can see effort made by Xamarin guys and that product is getting
better and better from
release to release. I do not want to remember times when there was no
x86 emulator for
android and I had to rob my kids to obtain device...
Your tips about additional exception handlers helped somewhat... now I can
catch them and the final straw seems to be in the TPF where I get an
unobserved task exception. Do you know how you can catch those? I've already
set up the TaskScheduler.UnobservedTaskException eventhandler, but it
doesn't fire.
I'm patching stuff like that too...

What's your experience? I've had to pick
something that could handle me WFC endpoint and doesn't force me to GPL the
entire commercial project. I initially considered ServiceStack for the
server side, too, but since the solution has 3 pre-existing services, all
WCF based, it seemed the most straightforward to use WCF for rest, too.
We are preparing (reading about) ServiceStack, Web API, OData and
similar stuff on server side
in Composite C1 (open source CMS system) in 2 proof-of-concept projects,
but everything is
in early stage to tell You anything specific...
