Hi Pieter, I’m one of the PAUSE admins, and I’m working through distributions that have split ownership, typically caused because releasers with co-maint added new packages: in the past PAUSE would give them first-come on the new package. PAUSE now tries to ensure consistent permissions, so I’m working through the historical cases[1].
Template-Mustache is one of these cases. You initially released it, so have first-come on the lead module, Template::Mustache. Yanick Champoux (YANICK) has done all releases since 2015, so has first-come on the rest of the packages, which he added. Rik Signes (RJBS) did one release in between you two, but he was lazy and didn’t add any packages, so just has co-maint on everything. Following the default policy, you would get first-come on all packages, as the originating author and holder of first-come on the lead module. But I wonder if it would make more sense to give first-come to Yanick — if he wants it — since he’s actively maintaining the distribution now? If you’re happy with this, I can make the changes for you. Cheers, Neil [1] http://neilb.org/2020/07/24/inconsistent-permissions.html
