As a new admin, I don't know what past precedent is, but I do agree that, generally speaking, it would be best if admins not give themselves permissions unilaterally and instead ask another admin to do so. A second pair of eyes on an action is probably a good thing. In this particular case, though, the original owner offered up the permissions, but there was a lag between that communication and the execution of it, adding to the confusion. (It probably would have been better for Tassilo to add Adam himself.) Thanks to everyone for being reasonable about the chaos. :-) -- David
