I managed with Avidemux to pick out a 39 MB fragment from the movie of
1900 MB.
The fragment is now available at http://users.skynet.be/fa991376.

When I play the original 1900 MB file with Kaffeine, it looks
all OK and there are no artifacts at all. But when I play it
with Avidemux there is constantly a horizontal bar (on the
bottom of the image over the full screen width) which is corrupt.
This is only the case with Avidemux 2.4 under Linux.
The windows version of Avidemux 2.4.1 plays it perfectly.

Can you please explain in more details what the intention is of
these commands?

The JVC MG-GZ505 has following properties: PAL 720x576 25fps 16x9
8,5 Mbps in best quality. But the file extension is .mod which is a
proprietary format of JVC. But renaming it to .mpg works just fine.

Thanks for your reply.
