Never thought about it, nevertheless you could be right. >> The cable are the same I've been using without any problem since I >> bought the DC30+ back in 2006. Yes, I tried with the S-Video cable shipped with my brand new miniDV camcorder, which is at most 1 meter long: same results. I was about to send frames captured from the that device, but the recordings from the satellite receiver are much better, even though the receiver is 35 meter far from the computer. The cable goes outside the wall, down in a cellar (sorry, I hope these are the right words), then up again and finally returns inside, near the computer. Boy, it took a couple of days to lay it down! The closest neighbors are 100 meters far from here. I have no micro wave oven (actually, I would like to have, but my wife doesn't want it). I have no new equipments round here that could interfere with the card(s). Could it be the new motherboard? I bought it some weeks before this problem appeared, but it could have start to work bad in the meanwhile. Anyway, this is the only problem on this box, everything else works fine. Or could it be an interference on the powerline? Or some other electric/hardware components? Definitely I must try at least one of the cards on another computer, maybe asking some friend of mine, to be sure that the environment is completely different. > > 35m is definitely too long...
