Aieee - but if you're using a composite cable then the VCR is MASHING/MUSHING/CURDLING/DOWNGRADING/etc the Y and C signals into a composite signal - that is a LOSSY (and damaging) conversion and even the best Y/C separator can not recover the original signals 100% accurately. ********** --->> * The Y/C separation that the ADVC300 has is for --->> * those poor souls who do not have an S-Video output on their VCRs! ********* Run, do not walk to Best Buy/Fry's/whereeer and get yourself an S-Video cable (Monster Cable if you prefer ;)).
