Well, at least that what it said on the page I mentioned - that libdv
exports both NTSC and PAL as 422. But I did not check that or anything.
I am a real novice to digital video, and all the packing it still a bit
of hocus pocus to me.

I watch the DV files correctly with mplayer. The (strange) yuv output from
lav2yuv, I simply piped it into yuvplay

I think I only did that for libdv.. I did not realize mjpegtools also
had this configure option.

Yes, I know, I'll have to recompile with debug flags. Just wanted to
