Reason: Error Audio ring buffer overflow Which emul10k1 driver do you use ? And which Kernel ?
For Kernels till 2.4.20 I think the emu10k1 driver from SF (formerly from opensource.creative.com) http://sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1 is the better choice. The SB-Life driver fomr 2.4.21 works well till now. Does the recording work afterwards again ? I think I remember that my SB-Life needed a reboot after that error. > My 'cat /proc/interrupts' shows that the sound card > (emu10k1) is on interrupt 11, and is the only thing on > there. That is good, but usually the SB-Life can share its IRQ without problems. > I have also tried using the on-board sound card, which > is a trident-based chip, but it of course does not > help (I did not expect it to).
