Hello, Hardware: Iomega Buz PCI Sound Blaster Live (emu10k1 chip) K7SEM mainboard (brand new) 512MB SDRAM AMD 1300 CPU
Software: Mandrake 9.1 mjpegtools (CVS-20030622) Error: **ERROR: [lavrec] Error reading audio: Audio task died. Reason: Error Audio ring buffer overflow The error appears usually after around 20mins of recording, but will sometimes appear after 6mins, 11mins, etc. My lavrec command is: lavrec -U -fa -in -d2 -q50 /path/to/file_%2d.avi I have also played with the '-b' and '-n' settings, even getting the '-b' up to about 64MB, but that has not helped. My 'cat /proc/interrupts' shows that the sound card (emu10k1) is on interrupt 11, and is the only thing on there. After the error appears, and of course stops the recording, the following appears in my /var/log/messages file: --- /var/log/messages --- Buz[0] jpg_sync() - internal state error Buz[0] enable_jpg(IDLE) Buz[0] munmap(MJPEG) Buz[0] zoran_close(lavrec, pid=[5396]) Buz[0] enable_jpg(IDLE) Buz[0] interrupts received: GIRQ1:946 GRIQ0:36170 JPEGRepIRQ:35226 JPEG delays: max=1 min=1 queue_state=17581/17613/17613/17613 --- /var/log/messages --- I have also tried using the on-board sound card, which is a trident-based chip, but it of course does not help (I did not expect it to). I did have this working on a similar board a while ago, but even on that board I get the same error :-( Anything else I can try, or is this about as good as I am going to get? I know I've had success witht he Buz in the past, but I just can't seem to get it to co-operate now :-( Thank you, in advance, for your help and advise.
