Now I am able to edit my recordings (but not to record - doesn't matter since I can do it from the command line). It is a great tool and exactly what I need for nonlinear editing/effects.
Unfortunately, at most half of the effects are working. I receive tons of gtk-errors (gtk-... assertion not fulfilled). I assume that I have a gtk version which is too old (although ./configure does not complain). Which gtk version is known to work? I observed to other small problems which I could not solve: - There is no file-select in the edit-tab. My workaround is to open the movie in glav and then saving the complete material as an eli-file which I can open in edit state. Is there a better way? - Automatic scene detection fails sometimes. There is the possibility to split a scene. Is there also the possibility to "undo" splittings or to move scene splittings a few frames forth or back? I would need it for the following task: Since I have only one camera, I recorded the same scene twice from different positions. I intend to mix takes from both recordings in order to make the movie more interesting.
