Yeah, I could give that a whirl. IIRC, last time I compiled from source on a Mandrake system (9.0), there were some minor edits I had to make to a couple of the source files (I can't recall what they are offhand, but i did make a note of them in in my book at home for future reference). If anyone knows what I am talking about, would they be able to confirm whether or not I still need to make those edits? Otherwise, I'll just try a recompile using CVS when i get home, and go from there :-) Thanks!
