Hallo > i have some 650 mb cds so thats why i would like to learn how to split files > at 630mb thats my reason . If you want to create real SVCD/VCD for playback in a HW-Player (like DVD player) the presets are fine. You can fit more then 700MB on a 650MB (=74 Minutes) disk. Than you have to mplex it as I have described in the last mail. Create the datafiles for cdrdao with vcdimager.
If you plan to write it as normal data CD. You have too tell mpeg2enc where it should mark the stream with the -S -B options. Spliting with the mplex -s option should be only used if you plan to put the stream afterwards together. After all some players (not HW !!!) are able to play back streams that are split with the mplex -s option. > ps i tryto read the manual and have tried several settings with %2d without > etc , so thats the reason why iam now asking here , hope that somebody could > help me out .. Maybe I've created to much VCD/SVCD/DVD, or have heard your question to often to give such answeres where everything it clear for me, sorry. I chould give more precice anwers when you would let us know why you want to split the stream. And which settings you used for reating the audio and video. auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ValueWeb: Dedicated Hosting for just $79/mo with 500 GB of bandwidth!
