        Precisely.

If a player can handle the lower reflectivity of one rewriteable
media it will very likely be able to handle the other format.
I believe Aaron Newsome (who bought a 724 on my recommendation) has
verified that DVD-RW media works (I know +RW works because I use
it all the time). The write once media has never been a problem
(even with a relatively old DVDROM drive).

At the moment if you are undecided which format to go with I'd
suggest the Sony DRU500A which can burn _both_ formats. For a +
        drive I've a Sony DRU120A (sorry Andrew - but there was a $50 rebate
on the Sony at the time ;)) which works well.

        Cheers,
        Steven Schultz
