You've already been told, by multiple people, that a better approach is to use the things that are available to you via the rich possibilities of HTTP to solve this problem. Sometimes, you're the lone genius who is misunderstood in his own time, who future generations will admire for his foresight. Most of the time, though, you're just Doing It Wrong(tm).
