Hi,
I'm trying to use USB disks as backup devices and I'm finding that I
have problems when I plug in more than two USB drives. I'm using 250G
laptop disks powered from the USB cable.
Is anyone else seeing this sort of problem? Would an upgrade to 4.2
help?
The first two always seem to work fine (with the "sd*" device allocated)

However, the third disk I plug in gives me strife.
It will get an "sd*" device allocated some of the time (about 1 in 3).
Sometimes I have a run where it works ok 4 times in a row and sometimes
if fails 5 or more times before it works.

And it worked..
The other disks don't seem to be affected by this.
If I unplug 2 disks (leave one plugged in) and the plug them back in
again, it's again the third disk which misbehaves no matter which disk I
plug in first (doesn't seem to depend on the physical disk involved).
I'm plugging the disks into an external powered 4 port hub:

But I get the same errors if I plug the third disk into the on-board USB
ports instead.
