Looking for umb(4) usage reports

Mobile Linux is a travesty, and I don't want to use Android or
derivatives. Can anyone here who frequently uses umb(4) comment on
its efficacy, as well as a hardware recommendations? Location is
southern Spain, available ISPs are Lyca, Orange and Vodafone.
