Hi misc, (Please ignore this mail if this is inappropriate for misc@)
tldr: I'm looking for per-project (or hourly or monitoring/response) collaborations with any company/consultancy/individual working with OpenBSD/Linux. Longer version: I've been an OpenBSD user since 2009, I'm maintainer of some perl-related ports [0] (I'm mostly Ok-ing since some time). I have development experience in Perl, node.js (javascript), C, shell scripting. I also have experience with design, setup and administration of databases (postgresql), web, mail, monitoring, networking and virtual-machine services. I also have lots of experience in other areas, please ask. Since COVID (I think) I've seen a reduction in the business in my area (Monterrey, NL, Mexico), especially in non-full-time positions. Maybe it's related to social distancing that reduced software communities activities in the city (my main source of collaborations). Maybe it's related to the moving of communities and companies. Maybe it's the IA bubble, I'm not sure. Maybe it's that I strongly prefer non-full-time collaborations. I offer services on a per-project/deliverables basis (setup or develop something), also on a per hour basis (troubleshoot something, assessment for solutions). My most requested service is a remote monitoring/tech support on-call (24/7 in some cases), available in several packages/SLAs. Of course, I can tailor a service to the current needs. My current hourly rates are around 30-50USD/hour depending on the project or SLA, with discounts by volume. I sell individual hours or hour packages as small as 5 hours. In case anyone is interested or knows of any opportunity please email me privately, I can reply with my CV, brochures about services, or we can arrange a call. In case you want to correct me for sending promotional email to misc@, please respond to the list (I'm suscribed). I could not find a previous discussion about this on marc.info. I apologize if this is not appropriate for misc@. I also share my (very inactive) github [1] Thanks to all [0]: https://openports.pl/search?maintainer=acamari%40verlet.org [1]: https://github.com/acamari
