That might be true. I believe it was a Kapersky report but the conclusion was
the surface area of attack on Android since it has so many app stores with 
different to no vetting.

On a personal note, I find it a lot easier to install spam/ad/spy ware on
android devices. I'm especially sorting out a lot of friends and family devices
for it.

Architectually, Android needs to learn to sandbox. I think Windows Phone and
iOS do a reasonably good job at these and will obviously reduce the surface
area of attacks.

BlackBerry is great as long as you have BES. SEAndroid is worth looking at too.
