Hi all,
as soon as I start X (startx, no display manager involved) my systems
seems to hang right after I am seeing the root screen, i.e. mouse
pointer won't move (touchpad) and keystrokes seem to be unrecognized
most of the time. On the console I get lots of:

Disabling pms fixes the hangs, but obviously I am missing the mouse
thereafter. Problem seems to be window manager unrelated. I also tried
to narrow down the problem a bit by reverting the files under
sys/dev/pckbc to an older state but my so modified kernel does not
even recognize the touchpad:
pckbd.c -> 1.32
pms.c -> 1.35
