For anyone interested, here is some macro code to get datamatrix and
aztec barcodes to print on a Datamax I 4208 printer.

Roger,

Let me know if you find something out. It is something that I've been
wanting to do but haven't had the time. I'll keep you in mind if I
figure something out, also.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] alternate barcode formats - 5.6 Magic

Has anyone had any luck printing a barcode in a format other than 39 or
128 from an NPR report. I was wondering if it would be possible to use
an escape sequence to allow the barcode to be printed in a printer
defined format. We are using Datamax I class printers, and the
programmers manuel lists 50 or so formats and the barcode details.
Unfortunately I am a pharmacist and not a programmer, so I do not know
how to use the info in the manual. Here is an example entry from the
manual for a postnet barcode:

<STX>L
D11<CR>
1p000000015010032569<CR>
121100000000100Barcode p<CR>
E

I am not sure how to incorporate this info into the NPR report. I am
guessing this would need to be sent to the printer in a computed field
or a macro using ^!, but I am lost after that point. Can anyone start me
in the right direction?
