Hi, I would like to know if anyone has a good solution for creating Hospice Claims in BAR. The problem is the Notice of Election (NOE) claim has to be sent right away. We have the BAR system set up to drop a $0 bill immediately so the Notice of Election claim can be sent. Then, the second claim is sent that has the charges on the claim. The problem is that the beginning service date is off as is the TOB. Example, Admit/Ser date is 3/19/07. Bill #1 cuts and the claim is generated for service date 3/19/07 - 3/19/07 for the NOE. Then, the charges are added, bill #2 cuts and the claim is generated for service date 3/20/07 - 3/30/07, with a TOB of 823. The TOB should be 822 because this is actually the first claim with charges. The beginning service date should be 3/19/07, not 3/20/07. If you have a solution for how to handle this in BAR, please share with me. Thanks, Darlene K.
