Right. So I'm not the best person here (Micah?), but in short; we just stored whatever we wanted in the XML file and mapped it to DC. Now we'll store DC directly. And additional catalogs like LOM/etc. (presumably non-XML ones too) could also be attached. Bonus points for MARC records.
