Hi all, A #proposal from some discussion at this mornings meeting:
That for 1.2 we limit new features to: 1. Authz support around lectures in engage. The back end is already done, the front end UIs are not. The idea being that multitenancy is only partially in there and that it would take too long to get in for a 1.2 release. 2. Metadata refactoring. Previously we allowed for arbitrary XML and now the proposal is to limit things to certain schemas (DC to start with) and just attach multiple catalogs. Again much of the back end stuff has been done but needs to be wired up. Further, that we cut a first RC in mid may, and push hard for two weeks of QA to try and get it out for June 1. This will require a lot of QA effort as the metadata refactoring touches lots of UI's and services. And as a last postscript, ingestion would not be modified. This had been floated but it seemed that we were in agreement it could wait.
