Everything is easy - the second time.
First you must make sure of one thing.
Does your ISP allow for servers? If not he might cause you endless problems
by filtering incoming domain requests etc.
So check if somebody else can get contact to your known sockets like telnet,
ftp, domain, smtp etc.
Next set up uoyr internal server. Read the dns HOWTO - it explains it very
well.
get somebody else to test it out by using your dns server as domain name
server for his connection.
If all is well - you are almost there.
The rest is trivial. register your domain with whatever registry you need
to. One of the things you have to inform the registry of is the primary and
usually two secondary DNS servers.
As secondary servers use services like granitecanyon.com These guys are
freely available DNS services (for private persons).
