Then I wrote that I was not convinced that these Democrats would be punished for assisting Trump, or for not standing in his way. I think there is a good chance that they would be punished for blocking him. Of course, a lot can happen between now and the time of the elections in these cities, including the collapse of the Democrat Party itself. Their donors are fleeing in droves!
