I am just marxist amateur but we are far from that society described by Smith
or Marx. Those relationships in production changed at the beginning of twenty
century dramatically by emerganse of managerial class, a clas which is paid for
their work but represent interest of the owners of the capital and were owners
of the capital are not involved any more in direct control of their capital. I
think that what noticed by marxist Plechanov at the end of his life, who was
probably better marxist then Lenin.
Regarding private property, I think that what was owned by person was called
personal property by Marx.  In Marx there is difference in meaning between
personal and private property.
Now when we lived in finance capitalism the role of workers is more diminished.
What gave strength to industrial proletariat, workers in cities, where their
concentration in big industrial factories where they can be easily organised.
That does not exist anymore. Those bigger groups in Amazon wherhousees are
rarity and, yes, they are an example how workers could be organise. But what
percentages of workforce in the US they represent? Also, they will replaced in
near future by robots, as you can see in China
https://youtube.com/shorts/7ATED1fIxsE?si=PxgxrTbgsxShnSXF.
When you talk about those two circumstances likelihood of that, now or in
forcible future in the most develop countries, is very very small , to be
optimistic.
