We can start with Nazi Germany ,then move on to  the Spanish Civil War, what was done in Argentina and Chile under Operation Condor, Indonesia under Suharto, the Jeju and Bodo League killings in Korea, with honorable mention to Caing Kai-Shek, and Thailand in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

This kind of "what-aboutism" is an albatross around the neck of the left. Workers have no country. We are against oppression wherever it exists. I opposed the war in Vietnam. I also opposed Putin's war on the Chechens that used the same kind of carpet bombing American imperialism used. Our unit of analysis is not the nation-state. It is class. Sometimes we support an oppressed people even though American imperialism might find it useful to provide arms and training. In a world divided between rival hegemons, where would Syrians have gotten the weapons they needed to resist Putin's bombers? Finland? Panama? Anti-aircraft missiles are only available from the USA and its close allies like Saudi Arabia. Oh, I forgot to mention that the CIA collaborated with Saudi Arabia,Turkey and Qatar to keep them out of the hands of the FSA, the one thing that might have ended this horrific war at least 8 years ago.
