I use alpine and am not a fan of html emails, but do enable it
(by pressing 'A') when required.
I didn't even need to do that to see the URL in your original message.
For the .png in your latest message I did need to ask alpine to
open the image in my preferred application, but you would expect
that in a text MUA.
