M/M Jones, He has got a voluntary support model already, not too well-known. It’s called the Patron model which is annual & subscription-based.

However not many people know about it use it and it’s of course under-funded because of that. However the reasons you state are also what is needed to make this app a go, provided there is funding.

So, if Benny is listening to (as I’m pretty sure he is), I hope he takes this to heart. There are many of us here who want him to succeed in this effort! Including me.

The subscription model would provide better insight into MRR (monthly recurring revenue) and this would help him grow the dev team. I'd happily pay a nominal monthly/yearly fee, knowing that there is a development team, a roadmap and some kind of ideas page to track feature requests (that receive votes from customers) to steer development.
