It would be nice if Benny would change his business model and bring in more
help. Having a single developer run the show is not good for many reasons.
 1. Should something happen to Benny (God forbid) then Mailmate is toast
 2. Improve cadence of development so that new features, bug fixes and security
changes happen quicker
 3. Potentially adding other protocols (Microsoft Graph API and JMAP come to
mind)
As much as I love Mailmate, I've been growing weary of the future of the app.
Not that development has completed halted, as we can see there have been
updates all the way until August. But because it's been perpetually in a beta
cycle, and there is just one developer that does literally everything for the
project. Email clients are not easy to develop, so I really hope that Benny
will consider changing the business model, and bring in some more developer
help.

I honestly think he could do much better by lowering the price or better —
moving to a subscription model. The subscription model would provide better
insight into MRR (monthly recurring revenue) and this would help him grow the
dev team. I'd happily pay a nominal monthly/yearly fee, knowing that there is a
development team, a roadmap and some kind of ideas page to track feature
requests (that receive votes from customers) to steer development.
