Hi All , > >Dibu Philip wrote > It would b very nice if v could go back to GNU/Linux rather than Libre. Just >my opinion. > I too have that opinion. Here are my arguments ( all might not agree ) a) Excellent knowlege of Linux Adminstration is going to be a prized skill b) There is need for Linux C/C++ programmers for writing Application Programs ( Every one is a kernel programmer now ! ) c) We can create a Business Eco system around the Linux + GNU tools to create more employment opportunities. d) There are good systems like Mono ( which can give MS run for their money ) and there is need for Linux/ Java Skill set in large numbers e) We can discuss stuff like FreeBSD , NetBSD , OpenBSD etc.. Other reason is We are a crowded state. Pragmatism is the best philosophy here. FSF philosophy is a great idea for a sparsely populated country like USA or Candada . For Kerala , we need to "relax" this to save us. GNU hurd is never going to be a reality , so a 100% FSF owned computer operating system is a myth. ( Linux has spread like a virus and people have adopted it ) regards Praseed Pai
