I'm happy that the ILUG acronym has been maintained, but I cant say I like the new name much.
What or who constitutes a "Libre User"? How can anybody be a "user of freedom"? I dont consider myself an expert in English, but "Indian Libre User Group" sounds grammatically incorrect as well. Libre is an adjective, not a noun. So it can't be a ready replacement for "linux". (though I may be wrong about this) I can think of at least three people I know who can be convinced that the "Indian Libre User Group" is a naxalite group operating in the North East. ;P >Sameer said: >the name signifies our commitment to any activity, field >or movement that follows the principles of truth and freedom. So this isnt just about software anymore? Freedom and truth are both subjective. Are we going to include fields totally unrelated to computers and technology within the scope of ILUG? Deepu
