hi.
how do i configure sound in debian. i have a well supported SB =
compatiable card, (RH detects it and configures it{snd config}.
RH reports the nname of the card is OPTi Audio 16. the kernel modules i =
need(the ones RH uses are mad 16 and opl3,)
the opl3 module, i compiled in to the kernel during debian install. the =
other, mad 16, i tried to install it to the current kernel using =
modconf. burt i can't compile it because it says the IRQ and the I/O =
address are mandatory, i looked at RH's connf.modules, which had the io =
and irq, it was using, i tried thewse but with no success. how can i =
find these ? anf after i find these and compile mad16 in to the kernel, =
how do i configure it? plz help
