Hi, I’m using VO+j to jump from the message list table to the content of a mail message. It works perfectly for me. I see no reason not to use return if that also works. I have the preview pane turned on and am using mail in its default view.
I would love to know what is different about what others are doing that isn’t working for them. I am certain that different things either please or irritate individuals depending on your mail reading techniques. For me, though, I am extremely please with how mail is working with the 10.9.1 update of Mavericks.
