And just for the record, you certainly can sync your audible books through iTunes. This is what I do all the time as I much prefer the iPhone's native Music player to the audible app, plus it's faster downloading to my Mac than to my iPhone. But this might change now since some of the annoying changes to the Music app in iOS7.
