Hi, My iPhone was fully charged yesterday morning:
• down to 73% this morning. • Background updating is On. • a number of Apps including Weather, Messages and Safari are running in the background according to the App Switcher. • iCloud Syncing is On. • Mail notifications is on Manual. • Calendar runs always and notifications are on. • FaceBook notifications are On. • Reduced Motion is On. • WiFi and LTE/3G services are On. Regular use yesterday included a number of calls including a 25 minute call from my son. All calls are within a building with 8 inch think cinder block walls, often multiple walls for the signal to make its way through. Lots of Text messages, Calendar checks, check on tweets in Twitter, checked news in the CBC News app a few times and probably some things I can't recall. So, by no means super heavy duty use, lots of background things going on, and battery life is quite normal in my opinion. As I mentioned before, I'm not sure why others are having issues, nor am I disputing that you're having these problems, I'm just not convinced that these problems are due to a bug in the iOS. I've read lots of suggestions in this thread that may help including letting your battery totally drain then charging it up fully to reset any confusions with battery level, or possibly a weak battery issue, or specific app or background app problem. We all use our iPhones for such varied tasks that its difficult to pin-point an exact, "fix-all" for everyone. Have a good one. Later...
