Hi, It is possible that it restarted in recovery mode. If you haven't tried this plug it into your computer with the USB cable and see if iTunes sees it. If so, you can do a restore assuming you've backed it up at some point.
This happened to me when I initially installed the gm release. It installed on the second attempt.
