It is not a problem, we have all been there. With bootcamp, the drive is partitioned; with Fusion, it is not. I don't know why Apple charges that much - any halfway decent computer geek can partition a drive in two minutes. If you decide to go bootcamp, I'd just enlist the help of some local talent to get things up and running.
