Well, honestly it was my first thought. When you go to rip a modern dvd, you'll find it encrypted, what many (incorrectly) refer to as copyrighted. The movie is copyrighted, but the physical means by which the manufacturer of the disk tries to stop any copying of the disk is a form of encryption. Anyway, you try to rip a dvd like you would a cd, and you find it encrypted, or "copyrighted". So, you investigate ways of removing this "copyright", or encryption, so you can put the movie on your computer. No, the original poster never stated his intentions, but I guess I'm nieve enough to assume that my above description is his goal. (How do you spell that "nieve" word anyway?)
