Hi Clifton I agree with you about Safari and that it is the most difficult thing to master. I've had my mac for less time than you but I just don't get a sense of the web page like I do in windows. Getting to the top of a page can be difficult sometimes, and even scrolling with the track pad doesn't seem to move the cursor for me sometimes. I seem to have to uninteract and interact again when refreshing pages, and sometimes Safari throws you out of a webpage altogether and you're in the tool bar without knowing how you got there. That said, I find edit fields not too bad. I have my tab key set to automatically interact when I use it. This way, I can tab through a form and fill it in without interacting each time because the tab key does it for me. At the end of the form I have to carefully uninteract and arrow around to find the "go" button or whatever. But it does work. And while tables are annoying, I seem to find it easier to navigate them in Safari to quickly skip to the right column where a relevant field is that I want. In JAWS, I don't always know I"m in a table so don't think to do this. I like the item chooser because it doesn't just do links but anything. In JAWS you have to bring up separate lists for buttons, links, etc, and sometimes you don't know whether something is a button or a link.
Just my two cents worth. Good luck persevering with Safari.
